Sounds like it could be the soundtrack for the next kanye west song!

YakovlevArt responds:

Hahaha! Wow, I'd love to hear some try to rap over this beat. I'll take that compliment though.
Cheers!

Jump around! Get down!

JumpieMusic responds:

Lol im always Jumping!
Thanks for the review!

Dubstep? Cool! I love dubstep! Especially the lilt line series of music!

ADR3-N responds:

I'm glad you liked it! Not sure what you meant by "the lilt line" -- wobble-bass maybe? I'm not huge on technical terms, lol.

Sounds more Christmas than grave. Like in one of those Christmas plays.

The title and the music makes me think of donkey Kong country!

I imagine my foot getting stuck in a sink hole. And I have a bored look on my face.

Rekuiem responds:

Did you step into by accident because you were unaware it was there then were bored of the descent? Did you step into the sink hole on purpose with excitement and were bored with it's similarity? Or did you step into the sinkhole because you were bored and nothing changed?

Thanks for that comment :) glad it took you somewhere, god knows it's a manifestation of last years trappings.

Sounds video gamey! I love it!

ADR3-N responds:

Well, it's partially inspired by games like Castlevania, Dragon Age Origins, Megaman-X Command Mission, and Mass Effect. I'm glad you liked!

Whenever I hear that song, no matter what remix, my heart always feels moved. So excellent choice!

Oh did you get the sound samples from the game? There's this one guy who collected the sound samples from a lot of SNES games and dkc2 was one of them. That way you can use them as instruments! So is that what you did? If not I can send you the link.:

Honestly I don't know how you remixers keep coming up with new ideas all the time.

Oh its a lot different from the original. Although all the main stuff is still there like that backup and chorus.
I could watch or listen to this again if my short attention span would remember everything.

NyxTheShield responds:

Hahaha yeah, i took the SCP files of FI and MM, isolated the percussion elated channels, exported them to .wav, and then edited them into my mix. I am happy that you liked it ^^

The anon was right. It reminds me of popcicles.

Nice beat. And that fluttery backup is good too. Is that a harp? No wait probably a high octave guitar string.

ADR3-N responds:

Glad you liked! Actually, it was a combo of orchestral harp and a sinewave oscillator to beef it up a little bit. Main theme was a dulcimer synth -- although I'd originally written it with the same harp. Liked the dulcimer better. The mod wheel is your friend! :P

Is it really rush? I don't feel like I'm driving 60 mph in a jeep being chased by dinosaurs.

Uh anywho, I love those synths. And I like how you're creative with them.

Alyxandr responds:

Oh my goodness, thank you for the positive feedback! I had a little roller coaster of emotions when reading that when you said "Is it really Rush?" because I thought you were saying it sounded bad. Haha

Thank you very much. :D

And I'm pretty sure the plot of Jurassic Park is what Closer to the Heart is about. Gotta look deep into the lyrics, hidden meanings and such.

i do a bunch of things and see what sticks.
